Another tiny piece from the book speaks to the newly formed Commercial Dept.

Our New Commercial Department (page 1 of 1)

In September, 1930, the Commercial Course was introduced into the Bowmanville
High School. There is an enrolment of about fifty students, with a very efficient
teacher in charge. This is considered a great step in our town's facilities for
education as it makes possible for many young people to live at home while
preparing themselves for a business life, instead of having to go to a city for that training.
